About
I landed in Prague during the hot summer day of 2006. I too was afraid of Eastern Europe and even more so of Prague: I thought I would get lost in the narrow
cobblestone alleys and end up getting eaten alive by the ravens. As you can easily guess it hasn’t happened yet and Prague has slowly seduced me into exploring its most hidden corners. In different seasons, at different times of the day Prague is like a snake changing its skin or, as some prefer to think of, a mistress changing clothes.
My journey in Prague is never-ending and, while by now I have explored most of the historical sites, the city keeps changing at a very fast pace under my eyes. New things happening all over town force me to keep my antennas listening all the time: it’s part of the fun and definitely good for the capital that is recovering from being 50 years in the iron lung, breathing, or rather suffocating, under Communism.
So here I am, sharing with you my love for this city and trying to keep it off the path beaten by the main tourist guides, to show you my personal map of Prague that is made out of places I stumbled upon with a sprinkle of serendipity.
I hope you like it!
